After Ted Leo & The Pharmacists cancelled their london date, I wandered over and drank away the night in Camdens KoKo, where after quite a few drinks Shy Child appeared on stage. These guys seemed blurry, but that was probably my vision. This twosome play a mix of funky electro and thumping drums designed to make you wanna dance. With some catchy hooks they left a good impression on me, the rather pessimistic onlooker. Shy Child are your perfect late night party band, great dance music which rocks. They also get extra brownie points for playing the now somehow cool 80’s throwback, The Keytar.
